30 Foot Rule

A rule that someone calls on a friend who is crushing/stalking/etc on a person he/she is sexually attracted to, but may have a different sexual orientation.
The rule states that the friend cannot be within 30 feet of the friend's crush until his/her sexual orientation is learned.
May have first been used in the film "Camp".

An unofficial rule in restaurants that dictates that you have at least 30 seconds to pick up a dropped steak, or lobster etc. from the floor before it's considered contaminated.

Owner:"Hey where are you going with that steak?"

Employee: "It fell on

the floor so, I'm throwing it in the trash?"
