An idea so outrageous, unrealistic, or nonsensically foolish that the person behind it seems to be high on "gas" referring to marijuana smoke.
Like saying "No Way!" Or "What are you smoking?"

Camp Staff: tomorrow is Saturday and you guys have to be up tomorrow at 5:30!

A Gas Off is an impromptu competition in which two parties, through a series of increasingly meta attacks on one another's sense of reality and continuity, attempt to out-gaslight one another.

The competition is over once someone safewords or admits defeat. Do not continue gaslighting after the competition is over, you will damage your friends and your friendships.
