The origin refers to when Minecraft YouTuber Dream was banned from the speedrun leaderboard for supposedly submitting a hacked run, and Geosquare (list moderator) calculated the odds of an Ender Pearl-Piglin trade to be 1 in 7.5 trillion. Some argue that his odds were 1 in 100 billion, but the term ‘Dream odds’ still caught on.
