Stands for "You only live once". It's used as an excuse to be able to do bad things like drugs and kill people. It is super popular in California right now, kids in elementary school like to draw a giant "YOLO" on a piece of paper and put it on the front of their binder to use as a "cool" cover. It is considered to be not 100% bad, it also can mean that you only live once so try to make the most out of this life, and do GOOD things.
Dereck: Hey hottie you wanna smoke a cigarette?
Alice:No! I don't take these kind of offers from guys. I don't smoke, so don't pressure me like that.
Dave: Yolo. How about trying one?
Alice: I'm going to report you for peer pressure and harassment.
Dereck: Ya ok. Fine. But I really recommend cocaine and marijuana!

Many people associate "yolo" in today's culture. Many of them believe that Drake is SO awesome for coming up with this saying. No. Suicide Silence did; their song "You Only Live Once" was released before Drake's "Motto". There ya go kids, you dumb fucks.
Also, the term "yolo" does not mean to go party hard every night and fuck every damn object you see while you're wasted. And please, go do something with your life that actually pertains to "yolo".

The most annoying acronym in the entire world. It's the most commonly used acronym of 2012. It was used by terrible music artists "Drake" and "Lil Wayne" that blew it up to a worldwide status. Most people that use Yolo are the most annoying kids around and listen to crappy poser rap music and couldn't even tell you what Tupac's record label was. People that commonly use Yolo are annoying as hell.
