When someone works little to no hours, slacks at work or is unemployed that person 'works less than Santa'.
"You have to pick someone to do the group project with, what about Matt?"
"Nah, working with him equals working in singleplayer, he works less than Santa Claus"

Telling someone to 'do the work' means that they are not well-informed on a particular issue or are not taking appropriate action based on their professed beliefs. Often used in the context of social justice.
