Out of Order

A phrase applied by authority figures in college dormitories to disuade the use of certain things (such as water fountains, bathrooms, or kitchens) for extended periods of time when, in truth, the appliance or room in question is actually in perfect working order.

This is usually a form of punishment implemented by people in positions of authority within a residence hall to teach the students a lesson.

Note, this tactic has had mixed results, in extreme cases of failure inciting riots and all out mayhem.

Someone threw up in the second floor water-fountain and then--after it was cleaned and visibly functioning--deemed "out of order".

vedge out

Relaxing and recovering from a hard busy activity when you are tired and all around stuffed.

Usually undertaken on the couch with snacks and the tv on, vedging out takes on vegetative state.

Person one: "oh that was a busy day."
Person two: "it was, l'm gonna vedge out for a bit."
Person one: "good idea, l need to vedge out too, l'm very tired."

When somebody has too much to drink and end up passing out where ever they are.

Sepehr: Yo did you see Bayley last night he just passed out on the floor.
Jeffrey: Yea I know he totally crawfed out.

To be perplexed, fascinated or stunned by something. Can carry either positive or negative connotations.

like-out

A "like-out" is when you give a thumbs up to everything on someone's Facebook profile by using the the "Like" function. The like-out victim receives numerous notifications. The word is derived from "psych out" due to the fact that the victim does not know if their friend genuinely likes everything on the profile or not.

Oh em gee, I'm so going to like-out your Facebook now!
