this may be yet another song where the Beatles describe their feelings of alienation that came with the pressures and burdens of fame and being the most popular band ever. Supposedly this song was recorded on an acid trip and according to some fan sites on the Net a walrus in some polar/arctic cultures is regarded as a symbol of death, while eggs are regarding as representing life. The lines such as "I'm crying" and "yellow custard dripping from a dead dog's eye" may support this idea.
