Get the Ca La Mario mug.An idiomatic expression derived from the french "ça passe", literally translating to "it passes", used to imply both a lack of rigor and an attempt to save face. First coined by l3mdawi in 1999 in an attempt to prove (ambiguously) a few topological properties of convexity. It has been largely used afterwards as a way to dismiss any further interrogations, and in some cases as a means of gaslighting people into believing the triviality of non-trivial aspects of maths.
The expression gained a lot of popularity in 2022 due to the rise of the "fuck it, we ball" mouvement (ball in both the senses of the football world cup and the balls it takes to bully l3mdawi right back), as the second coming of the stars (SCotS™) has been using it profusely in an attempt to lighten up the gnawing, harrowing darkness plaguing the atmosphere, and to put an end to the misuse of the phrase in pseudo-dectatorial contexts.
