nerd-whacking

The act of showing nerds some maths/physics etc. problems to distract them from their current task and get them to focus on the problem instead, generally until they solve it.

I ran into some nerds sitting in a maths class yesterday. It's amazing how you can just outright interrupt what they're doing with a simple nerd-whacking calculus problem.

Nerd Echolocation

The process used to locate a nerd within a reasonable proximity by sending a text, email or other type of social media message. The sound alert you hear is almost always associated with a video game sound or music. This is most effective in a home or office setting.

"Hey do you know where Matt is?"

"I not sure. Have you tried Nerd Echolocation yet?"

"Let me see here. I will sent him a text and tweet" click click click

"Oh, he is in the break room. I just heard the Mario 1-UP sound and Legend of Zelda theme song come from that direction."

Game Nerd

A person who plays video games A LOT. Usually they have no job, live with their parents, and spend the majority of the time playing it.

A lot of Game Nerds try to change the definition of the word 'game nerd' to someone who knows a lot about videos games, but they are just embarassed to embrace the fact that their only hobby is clicking buttons.

One of the biggest game nerds I know is named jose.

Person: Hey, wanna play foot ball?

Game Nerd: NOOOO, I ALMOST HAVE A SPY PLANE ON BLACK OPS.

Person: No life game nerd.
