- I hate myself
- My life has no meaning
- Guitar solo

"Emo" people are commonly confused with gothic, but being slightly different in the sense that gothic people tend to hate the world more than themself

Emo 

"Emo" Is just a genre of music, although people use it as a label. Just to let you guys know.. You can't really be emo... i think the style you are looking for is "scene". Emo music includes bands like 'Hawthorne Heights' or even 'Portraits of the past'. If you call youself "Emo" You are probably a poser, sorry. And never confuse "Emo" with "Punk" or "Goth" please.

Emo 

A type of music that angsty teens listen to while they pretend to cut themselves.

Not hard enough to be called Punk but not bubble gum enough to be called pop. Imagine if Punk, Pop, and a little bit Goth got together and had a child. Emo is what you would get every time because it takes a little bit of everything.

Just take one band and switch the names around and you basically have every emo band imaginable. The same whiny sounding lead singer, the same sounding guitar solos, the same lyrics just in a different order.

Those people who say that My Chemical Romance is emo don't know the physiological level there music is really on. Wow, those guys are so deep and bruting.

i shoud know first off. a person who is usually emotional not just sad who does not take things seriously and sometimes acts gay towards their friends and may do drugs but should not. most em0 are scene as well which is co0l.

someone who cuts themselves but not all emo have to cut someone can wear colors but mostly black skinny jens are almost a must
