Refers to someone who clearly knows how to liven up a bedroom, since body-shaming is so last year. You can't choose your body, but you can always choose how you use it. Plus, it's gender-neutral. The counterpart to this is "dead bed energy".

Erica: "Brad is so sweet. He just called out his friends for making homophobic jokes."

Janet: "Whoa, you gotta get on that. That is some frisky bed energy."

Bed rotting is usually a sign of depression or loss of energy. Given the circumstances it means you’ve been in bed for most of the day or days on end. Instead of being a good thing, this makes you feel empty and removes energy to do things; even stuff you love.

Not just "fucking up really bad." Used to emphasize the way that the really bad fuck-up harms or humiliates the person who fucked up. The idea of shitting the bed is not just a) that the person intended to do one thing but instead laid a giant turd but also b) that the person laid that turd in their own bed and now has to lie in their bed of shit.

Darlene merely laid a turd by flunking the algebra test. Mike completely shit the bed when he cheated on the test and got caught and expelled from school.
