using a sheet between you and the person you sleep with to prevent the two of you from sweating and sticking to each other. using a sheet to prevent one part of your body from touching another part which could cause you to sweat and stick.

while sleeping in the nude, you may tuck the sheets between your legs so your balls don't stick or get sweety, this is called sheet protection.
