Leaving you with one eye wide open and the other one shut and you have a pipe in your mouth leaving you looking just like popeye the sailor man.

A music genre performed mostly or totally on electronic instruments: synthesizers, samplers and drum machines.

Often confused with New Wave, but it's not the same. New Wave is guitar-based genre, and synth-pop evolved from new wave by replacing guitar-based arrangements with synths.

It was extremely popular genre in 80s, but in 2000s had sort of comeback, and loyal fan base

Depeche Mode, Human League, OMD, A-HA, Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, New Order are great synth-pop bands
