ghetto fab 

A slight step up from ghetto. The difference between ghetto and ghetto fab is ghetto is rock bottom skid-row but ghetto fab has a 'bling' associated with it.

He wipes his ghetto ass with his hand, if he were ghetto fab, he'd steal toilet-paper from McDonalds.

He's so ghetto cuz he picks treasure from the trash, and doesn't wash them. If he were ghetto fab he would wash them before taking them inside the house.

She hand-rolls her cigerettes with a $2 roller, that's ghetto fab. If she were ghetto, she'd be too po' to buy a roller.

Washing clothes by hand, using laundry detergent is ghetto fab. This is better than ghetto, which would be hanging them outside to 'air out' instead of washing them properly.

ghetto code 

A piece of code that is work around for a compley situation. A hack. A section of code that is not easy to understand, but gets the job done. The equivilet of holding something together with a shoe lace and bubble gum.

"I just wrote some ghetto code, so I wouldnt have to re-write the whole thing. I probbly wont understand what I did, or why I did it six months from now, but hey... it works and the client is happy"

ghetto apple 

when you take an apple and make into a weed pipe. steps are as shown. 1. remove the stem and use a knife to cut a bowl shaped cave in the apple that goes about half way down. 2. use a pen and push from the side to make the mouthpiece and pipe
put in the weed and smoke:)when finished smoking eat the apple and get a little bit of a buzz from the resin

Ghetto Mentality 

1. The name of a rap group formed in 1988, gaining popularity and national underground radio play from 1994-1997 with intermittent resurgences garnering limited radio play as late as 2007. A few rap groups have used this moniker, but the first to use the name (and trademark it) were the aforementioned, originating in Salt Lake City in the infamous west side Glendale Gardens neighborhood. Members over the years consisted of Founder Smoove Daddy Cee (originally known as Tempo C) 1988-1997, RC Hype 1988-1990, DJ Shon D 1988-1989, Burt-Locz 1994-1996, L-Dogg 1995, Madd Dogg 1997. Popular songs included Blowin' Up, Git up, Glendale 2 Midvale, Murder Afta Midnight (Featuring Madd Dogg and Daizer), Playerz Mentality (Featuring Daizer and E-Bay) to name a few.

2. This has also been the name of several songs by various rap artists and is a somewhat common phrase in some rap songs.

3. One who possesses a mentality resultant from living in the ghetto. This is sometimes used derogatorily when community activist types pontificate on social ills.
