Dirt naps usually occur in Las Vegas where the beer flows like wine, and last longer than a regular nights rest. The term is normally utilized to denote the uncertainty of the person's return for the next day's festivities.
Hey, where's your buddy from the craps table last night? He was a riot! "He's out cold taking a dirt nap." will he be back? " I have no clue."
