monkey grip

Not releasing an item from your hand, even if it is not needed or is having a negative affect.

Originating from the story of trapping monkeys. This is done by placing a banana behind a device that a monkey can easily get their hand through. While grabbing the fruit they make a fist that wont allow them to pull out and they wont let go of the banana.

Maybe if you let go of your monkey grip on those groceries you could open the door.

I had a monkey grip on the fork and couldn't catch the dropping plate of food.

An endearing term, usually self imposed - to describe someone who suffers from panic disorder and anxiety, but is self aware - and does not subscribe to the sometines patronising "inner child" mechanics of psychology.

People who: (1) can’t afford to buy $5,000 tables at exclusive Vegas nightclubs; (2) queue in the general admissions line like muggy cunts; (3) buy drinks at the bar like losers; and (4) dance on the floor rather than on top of their expensive waitress serviced table.

Phrase that indicates sudden sexual pleasure or orgasm (male or female). Or if you want, it could mean absolutely nothing, only that you wanted to say "Ohhh, monkey." If used during sex, the phrase is then emphasized. "OHH, MONKEY!" *Must be said with an "oh face" and a voice similar to one having an orgasm.*
