In filmmaking the act of going in tighter in the same set-up, for a closer view of the same object/subject. That is going from the mother shot to the daughter shot. The same shot, only tighter.

Cod-shot

A practice in which requires a person to attach a fishing hook on the end of a double-barrelled shotgun. The shotgun is to then be dipped into the water and wait for a fish to catch onto the hook. Once caught, the user raises the shotgun out of the water and gives it both barrels. Whilst messy and cruel, the practice is scientifically proven to be the best way to discipline a fish.
