Get the r word pass mug.An idiomatic expression derived from the french "ça passe", literally translating to "it passes", used to imply both a lack of rigor and an attempt to save face. First coined by l3mdawi in 1999 in an attempt to prove (ambiguously) a few topological properties of convexity. It has been largely used afterwards as a way to dismiss any further interrogations, and in some cases as a means of gaslighting people into believing the triviality of non-trivial aspects of maths.
