brake touch

A touch that is initiated by the slamming of brakes in the car. When the car needs to come to a sudden stop and the driver feels the need to gently touch you thinking it will stop serious damage.

When mom slammed on the brakes she brake touched Sarah in the passenger seat so she wouldn't crash through the wind shield. It failed to work.

The art of applying the brake and then the gas, then letting the tires tear to pieces on the pavement. Preferablly elligible in vehicles with rear wheel drive and V8 engines. Some V6's however are capable, even 4 cylinders, but don't watch those, because they are bad for your health.

Flashing-lights Brake-dance

The result of a police officer pulling someone over for a traffic violation in Rhode Island. All the people in the state have to stop - not slow down, but fully stop - as they pass the vehicle that's been pulled over to see if it's someone they know. And thus, a single state trooper pulling over someone for speeding during rush hour can grind traffic on the interstate to a complete halt for more than fifteen minutes.

"My commute home should only take 20 minutes, but never takes less than an hour because of the Flashing-lights Brake-dance and the fact that people forget where the fuck Route 4 is every afternoon."

Brake Check

The idiotic practice of trying to "teach bad drivers a lesson" by quickly pumping your brakes when someone is tailgating you. Can easily lead to a collision

I was driving home from work when some impatient asshole started tailgating me. I brake checked him, which made him rear end me. It's gonna cost a few thousand dollars to get me back bumper repaired.
