chase the ghost

The term "Chase the Ghost" is an old surfing term that was used primarily in Southern California between the 1940s and 1970s.

It means to chase the perfect wave, the perfect break, and the perfect ride on your board. It is the term for every surfers perfect wave.

Jack: Man, I'm hoping to catch that perfect wave today while those scouts are out here watching!
Brett: Yeah man, chase the ghost for sure! I hope you nail it!

When you thought your relationship with God was going well, but suddenly you can't feel the light of the Lord anymore and He stops answering your prayers.

I think I've been Holy Ghosted. Jesus isn't answering my prayers anymore.

Secondhand Ghost

A term used by potheads to define marijuana smoke ghosting out of the choke of a pot smoking device, and the smoker sucks the smoke ghost back into the smoking device and into their lungs.
(Ghosting is when a smoker pushes smoke out of their mouth with their tongue and sucks it back into their mouth and inhales)

-"Dude I just secondhand ghosted out of the choke!"

Clapping Ghost

The haunting sounds of paranormal activity coming from dark places. Often after parties, and in bedrooms. Sounds of ghostly clapping, and moaning.

I heard a clapping ghost last night when I slept on the floor after the party at The Group Home, it was coming from the couch across the room. And also from @mcblacken and @xlfodx rooms.
