Bleach, Code Geass, and Soul Eater are all great examples of anime. Isshin Kurosaki, Ichigo's dad in Bleach, is hilariously overdramatic, acting the foil to many real parents, and often wondering how attractive the girls Ichigo befriends are.

Get the anime mug.basically anime is just japanese cartoons that Americans say is "trash" when anime has several genres and different themes-just like cartoons. The distinctive features that anime actually have are realistic animation, a storyline-unlike most cartoons where it is just random episodes, and Japanese customs in the shows. Overall Anime is different from cartoons but when people say it is "trash" they usually call it trash for the wrong reasons.
