German run

A phenomenon that has been observed at the Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Students in their exam weeks, mostly from Germany, line up before 8:30 in the morning in front of the inner-city library to get the best seats in the library.

Guy: Tomorrow, I will participate in the German run and be at the library at 8:30am, trust me!

This is when you are playing online poker and playing more than one table at a time. Generally, one lays the tables out across the one's screens, hence, "running wide"

To consume an exorbitant amount of ortolan buntlings. Generally they are placed on top of one another into a mound or small mountain before being eaten voraciously, often vacuuming them into one’s mouth.

“Good God, Shak is going on a Shak Run (again). Won’t someone spare the poor ortolan? At this rate, they will surely soon go extinct.”

Shortened to 'skummer'/'skumming'.

(If you're purchasing rum, it becomes a 'rum skum run', which becomes increasingly difficult to say each time you go for one.)
