Slipknot

A band from Des Moines, Iowa, made up of 9 people who never claim to be the best or heaviest metal band on earth, yet somehow, people are always saying that they suck just because they aren't as heavy as some other bands out there. The members of Slipknot have a lot of musical talent, and just because they choose to be signed onto a major record label, doesn't mean that everyone should diss them for just trying to make a living.

People think they are so cool when they say 'Oh, Slipknot isn't hardcore. They suck because I listen to underground death metal bands who no one has ever heard of because I'm an individual' when the members of Slipknot probably have more talent than they ever will.

A very generic band From Iowa, USA. The band consists of a ridiculous 9 members.

Often associated with teenagers who try to act hardcore and be cool by listening to the band.

Boring song writing, occasional insights or social commentary amongst a tonne of meaningless swearing.

Overall an extremely over-rated and untalented band.

Brings shame to the music industry.

Slipknot cannot compare to other more talented bands such as Megadeth, Dream Theater or Cannibal Corpse.

SLIPKNOT!! Jesus H Christ, how can you listen to that bullcack? It doesn't consist of musical talent, it consists of about ten silly buggers in not-very-realistic Hallowe'en masks jumping up and down and screaming incoherently into a microphone, while beating the shit out of a drumkit! What's the point? If I wanted to hear that kind of shit, I'd go and listen to a badly fucked tractor dragging a dying horse out of a cesspit (cheers NME.) It's relentless! "DUN dun DUN DUN DUUUUUUUN EVERYBODY SCREEEAM! DUN dun DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUN..." it never ends! That's not "goth" music, that's not even music, I wouldn't let my brother wipe his arse with one of their records. And that's saying something, believe me. Slipknot is one of the biggest piles of sloppy dog-wank I've ever heard of.
