nerd phase

When you go from doing other stuff to doing nerd things for about a week to a month; such as jailbreaking your iPod Touch, or Youtubing videos on help on how to do something with your device. After you lose interest, you go back to the same old normal stuff you do.

Mark: Dude, you should come chill with us.

Tim: Nah, I think I'm gonna jailbreak my iPod Touch this week.

Jeff: He's on his nerd phase.

Phase 9

Primarily in Military context. The state of becoming single after a period of time away from home, i.e deployment/IET training. Typically started by the soldier's significant other, in the act of finding someone else while they're gone.

Soldier 1: Dude, I just got Phase 9'd by that bitch.

Soldier 2: For real?

Soldier 1: Yeah man, not cool.

Cubist Phase

1. Point in an artist's career where they go batshit insane and start producing very abstract/ avant-garde pieces of art.

2. Excuse used when an artist has gone off the deep end and/or produces sub-par works.

(Note: I don't consider Cubism as a whole to be subpar in any way, and I am actually quite partial to it)

1. The song "Revolution 9" by The Beatles was probably made during their Cubist Phase.

God likely created this while he was going through his Cubist Phase.
