alrightly, im sick of people saying emo kids are bi-sexual and whiney. Most are just misunderstood. We wear what we want to wear no matter what. Emos just like to be themselves and they are always pushed down because of it. Not all emos cut themselves either. Granted some do but, if thats what they need to do to make them feel better inside then so be it. Everyone looks down of the little emo kid who slit their wrists but, nobody says anything to anorexic preps or slutty whores because they are popular.

Emo Kid: it's not about the clothes you wear, or how you act...it also has nothing to do w/ self-harm...(that's only from what the lyrics of "emo" bands say...but there is no real connection)...and ya some emos wear dark clothes...but it's mostly just becuz they might not care about how they look...or they want to look "scary" so others don't come up and talk to him/her. emo is a type of music NOT A TYPE OF PERSON... so stop labeling ppl!!! and if it is a type of person then they wouldn't care to make themselves fit this label..

1. weezer is not emo...even though they wear "Emo" glasses
2. the kid who shows his tears and cuts isn't emo
3. a person that ONLY shops at hot topic isn't emo
4. If you are willing to admit you're an "emo kid"...then you aren't
5. if you are "emo" to get attention...YOU ARE A TOTAL POSER!!
6. if you labelize ppl by calling them sk8rs, preps, goths, emo, scene...YOU ARE NOT "EMO"!!!

Emo Kid

An emo kid is one that mastered the art of attention whoring. An Emo kid likes to express his depressed mentality by dressing up like a child molester/goth hybrid. An emo kid will constantly deny that he's emo, no matter how obvious that he is. Emo kids tend to be emotional, where they are angry just because they are angry or depressed because they are depressed.

"Hey look at that emo kid cutting himself!"

"Fuck you! I'm not emo!" *cuts himself*

Emo kids don't reject pop culture, they ARE pop culture.

There are alot of definition to Emo kid.

heres mine: An Emo is someone who can feel the world around him/her. These people often live a bit like hermits because they cannot stop the flux of emotions and thoughts running trough their heads(well thats kinda me)
So we prefer being alone than seeing everyone around us suffer as much as we do.

a kid who listens to emotion laced music. often times, suicidial, but other timesnot. Boys are usually charachterized by their unkemp jet black hair and tight girls pants and very skinny body. Girls are usually charachterized by, well, the same things. emo kids, however, can look pretty much any way.

an emo kid is some one who wears a studded belt, tight t-shirts, tight cardigans and tight upturned jeans and sometimes trucker caps and usually square black rimmed glasses. the have an emotional outlook on life and listen to the genre of emo. this can include taking back sunday, dashboard confessional and the early november. aslo they carry a messenger bag. and have chucks to. music or the arts is there pasion in their life.
