In 2019, Facebook introduces symbols nexts to users name to signify statuses such as Admin, Mod, New Member (Hand Badge), Conversation Starter, Founding Member, Visual Storyteller, Rising Star, and many more. As a popular trend, the new members would come into a group and start drama. This was when groups also referred to as “Tag Groups” started taking off, such as “The Hand Badges are at it again”.
