East York

One of the six boroughs of Toronto, hence the name "the 6ix". Located east of the borough of Old Toronto, south of the borough of North York and west of the borough of Scarborough, East York is generally considered to be 2 distinct parts. The first part is what is usually referred to as East York: the "traditional" part of the borough situated southeast of the Don River, which includes areas like O'Connor and some parts of the Danforth, and Leaside, the part situated northwest of the Don River, which includes cute boutiques and patisseries along Bayview Avenue, as well as more expensive housing. Houses are also very close to each other. East York is known for happy and hospitable people, for wonderful Christmas decorations, sense of community and a general cute vibe unmatched anywhere else in Toronto.

On a side note, East York is NOT to be confused with the Danforth. While both areas are closely related, the Danforth is part of the borough of Old Toronto, not East York. The general area can be referred to as "East York-Danforth" or just the "East Side".

Person 1: Where does she live?
Person 2: She lives in East York.
Person 1: She must love her neighbours, dress in long green jackets, wear pastel-coloured pompom hats, cute scarves, and drinks a lot of hot chocolate with whipped cream.

Shittiest state to live in. Smells like my dogs ass and trash bags just laying on the sides of the road. You don't have a license and have absolutely no idea how to drive? The New York streets welcome you! People are rude as fuck and shit is so overpriced. I paid 11 dollars for a latte and croissant at Starbucks when i pay 8 dollars in Florida. That was just Manhattan, Brooklyn is even worse. Guys there think consent is a myth and that every woman likes to be groped by a drunk, nasty smelling stranger. Rockefeller center has absolutely nothing to do and the state in general is so overhyped. The only people who like New York are New Yorkers who have never been outside their shitty state. Times square is probably the most overhyped land mark there. They put more effort in making an add for an ass cream look flashy than actually cleaning their streets. Only thing I liked there was a shirt i saw that said New York ❤️S me. Their two story cvs was pretty cool too.
