Loud "boom-boom" instruments that are played in close proximity of someone to get even with him for a perceived wrongdoing.

It wouldn't be much use to try to vengefully annoy the natives in the jungle with repercussion drums, since they are totally used to said deafening cadence in their frequent communications with each other over long distances.

Repent

There are people who love to try and force young people (20s and under) to apologize, or repent, and be forgiven. Apologies and repentance are overdone to the point that they've lost their point, at what point does the person demanding the apology want you to convert to their belief system?

Sometimes its better to let somebody know you did something on purpose than to think you need their forgiveness to move past it in life, or to repent. Sometimes its better to keep carrying baggage around on your own.
