Song meaning: This song from Metallica’s third album is an anti-war song. It is one of the most intense songs Metallica has ever written, with certain sections performed at 220 beats per minute.

The lyrics tell the story from the point of view of a soldier on the battlefield who receives orders from his general to keep fighting, no matter how many will die. The general believes his soldiers are merely expendable tools.

And she DIES!? HOW!? I mean, WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!? Why would introduce that metal and then kill her immediately!? Cruelty! Blatant cruelty! It was tragic! I was blown! Ugh! I mean, I already knew she died (Because of fucking YouTuber vermin manga posters in my fucking shorts feed spoiling the plot months before the new season comes out!) But I didn't think it would happen IMMEDIATELY! WHY!? And we find out who the traitor is (also spoiled by the manga posters). I'm stoked. It's going to be a good season."
