Orange season

Orange season follows directly after Yam season, and ends at the end of March. The vitamin C within oranges is used to harm a fetus in an attempt to miscarry after participating as said yam in yam season.

Escapism szn/season

Referring to the period of year right before “cuffing season” that is popularised by the SZA song “escapism”. The term mostly has dark humour undertones. It usually refers relating to the emotions of the song that depicts using superficial and reckless distractions to cope with heartbreak. It is also used to describe the period of the year when the song was popularised hence evoking nostalgia.

When referring to winter you call it Ditto season as the k-pop girl group NewJeans had released their single album “omg” alongside the track “Ditto” in December 2022. People have made memories with the song ditto as this songs reminds them of winter 2022. Most people now refer the winter season to “ditto season”
