The first definition is that your hearing what the person's saying, BUT you disagree.

The second definition is that it can be used to symbolise conclusions.

Person 1: Want some apples?

Person 2: Yeah nah I prefer grapes

Definition 2
Person: Yeah nah we should totally do that!
