The Micktaylor period of the Democratic Party ended in 1968, when the Kennedys and their organization permanently lost national power.

Basically just a twist to the phrase “Period (girl, queen, etc.)”: A slang term used by ghetto girls or gay/zesty men to show approval for an action made by another, like a verbal applause in other words.
