tl/smi 

tl/smi has its origins on the Sherdog.com message board. It is an insult for a long or irrelevant post and it translates literally to Too Long Spending Money Instead. It is not only a phrase but a way of life. The members of this group spend money endlessly; saving none. The mentality is said to have risen from an encounter with a high roller at a Las Vegas airport. Those stories cannot be confirmed. Members are also know to post large money stacks with each post that says tl/smi.

TL;DR 

a term originating from forums and text messages in respons to ebscenely long forum posts or texts. means 'too long, didn't read.' the original use has died out however, and it is now only ever used by argumentative cunts who have been outargued and don't want to admit it. as uch, it's current meaning (which would be the corrupted phrase) is 'can't think of an argument, gonna pretend i couldn't be arsed to read it.'

man 1: ...so yeah. learn your stuff, man, you're making yourself look stupid

A phrase used on internet boards to signifying:
-an insult for a long post
-a compliment for an humorous post
-acknowledgement of a strangeness or weirdness of a post
-an irrelevant response to an uninteresting topic
-raunchyness or cheekiness

"that tranny photo was so tl/fwi worthy" or simply "tl/fwi"
