Derogatory noun; a user of TikTok (a video sharing social media platform). Portmanteau of “TikTok” and the N-word.

Emerged during the period before TikTok’s ban by the United States government took effect, when millions of TikTok users began “migrating” their presence to other platforms. Chiefly used to disparage users on Instagram viewed as outsiders.

Tikker

A term that gained popularity in early 2025, when TikTok was banned for a day, forcing TikTok users to flock to Instagram Reels. Classic Instagram users were unhappy with the sudden influx and coined "Tikker" as a derogatory term (similar in tone to other slurs) to describe TikTok users. A Tikker is perceived as a dumb, brainrotted individual accustomed to TikTok's fast-paced, low-attention-span environment. The term is often used alongside Tiktard, another insult for TikTok users.

Ever since the TikTok ban, my Reels feed has been flooded with Tikkers.
