Once retrieved, the materials get stored in undisclosed warehouses and held for top secret scientific study. The efforts to covertly gather, store, and study such materials is believed to have been going on since the 1947 Roswell Incident. It is further alleged that various civilian-run contractors have been routinely executing "crash retrievals" upon the wreckages of downed UFOs for decades now, and have amassed multiple warehouses of these materials.
