Yakima

A high poverty, crime- and gang-infested town in Central Washington, formerly known for its fruit orchards, which have were bulldozed for butt-ugly housing developments for people trying to get out of the raging dumpster fire the city turned into. Commonly referred to as Crackima by the rest of the state, although Fentanyl and meth have replaced crack as the city's most well-known product. Some of its citizens like to deny that Yakima is a shithole and say things like "There is crime everywhere."

We stopped in Yakima but got shot at because my husband was wearing a red jacket.
