To leave, usually quickly and to avoid being seen.
Synonyms: ghost, Swayze, dip, Audi 5000 etc.

Based on television character Polkaroo who would disappear before the second host of the polka dot door could see him.

"Is that your ex walking towards us?"
"Polkaroo ."

"Where's Uncle Jesse? He owes me money."

A racist term used to describe a person of any ethnicity or race. Meant as a way of vocalizing racial frustration without specifically offending anyone in particular. Perfect for former racists who are trying to be more politically correct.

"Damn pooka took my wallet!"

"As side from Tim Burton and Sarah Palin, pookas are probably the most destructive force in American society."

Pokaroo

Planning to have sex with, or having had sex with a person of either gender (despite the phallic imagery) from Australia.
i.e. to "poke" a "roo", "roo" being used as a short form for "kangaroo" and a slang for someone from Australia
Usually used in clubs, or nights out in public areas or tourist spots where one might find a large number of Australians.

"I'm going to Pokaroo"
"Are you going to pokaroo tonight?"
or looser uses of the term such as:
"I'm going to poke that roo", or "I poked that roo"
