what do you think you're doing

universal parent language for stop. referenced all the time, such as in a netflix special of the comedian john mulaney. suprised nobody has defined this yet.

sometimes, our parents would ask us "what do you think you're doing?"
but that just meant stop.
they didnt expect you to just say
"well im smashing these eggs with a bottle rocket, you know because im so horny and angry all the time, and i have no outlet for it all, so... eggs."

Refers to the act of giving something back to someone who someone who's given something to you.
Mostly used in raving culture whereby if someone sorts you out with gum you must give them a cigarette or Rollie in return. It's all about looking after eachother.

After being confused, Brad asks Kristina, "what do you mean?"
