1) A person who is desperate for attention and acceptance, and will go out of their way to change their appearance, mannerisms, attitude, etc. for others' approval.
2) A woman who resorts to traditional gender stereotypes in an attempt to seek men's approval.
3) A minority (BIPOC, LGBT people, etc.) that support right-wing politics in hopes of gaining their approval.

An actor who gets in a play with a lot of assistance from actor friends and then ditches said actor friends in the play THEY ALL AUDITIONED FOR, then proceeds to suck up to other, 'superior' actors, director, stage manager, etc.. Typically acts different around friends than around superiors, much like the pick me girl.

Pick-me

People who use forms of manipulation to date others. Stereotypically, pick-me girls will try to put down other women, and act like they are one of the boys, while pick-me boys use self-deprication, and will praise women so they feel bad and date them.

A: I heard you went on a date with B last night, how was it.
C: Well, he seems nice, but he's such a pick-me boy.
