More a lifestyle than a label. People who are usually depressed who can find no other way to deal with emotional pain than to cut. They cute their wrists, stomach, legs, anywhere they can reach sometimes. Emo's and Scene kids are confused often, having the same fashion sense, but Scene kids dont cut.

Get the Emomug. Emo. A sub culture of well off, white, middle class, suburbanite, teenage/twentysomethings, that don't have any real cause for stress in their lives. As this is seen as unacceptable in societies where self proclaimed victimization is seen as a cause and excuse for any possible act. Emo's hence resort to bemoaning their predicment (Otherwise known as emotional masterbation), when 95% of the worlds poulation would quite gladly kill them for what these little twats have handed to them. They also find/express their individuality by dressing and acting like all the other twats which call themselves emo.
Emo people who cut their wrist sideways when everybody knows you do it with the vain if you mean business.

Get the emomug. Listen, I just want to start out by saying, emo is not a way to get attention. Emo is not a brand of music. Emo is not skinny jeans and ripped converse. Emo is not dyed black hair covering the face. Emo is emotional. Emo people aren't doing it for attention (well real emos don't) they do it to see if anyone cares. If there is anyone who gives a crap about their life. If no one is there then they commit suicide. Emo is a way of dealing with problems. The pain of cuts distract the pain from the rest of the world as The blood washes it away. So the next time you call someone a poser or drama queen, think about what they are going through.
