So now you dwell on that time and don’t fully let yourself grow out of it. You have a new partner but you miss the safe feeling your ex gave you. In my case my ex had bpd so was just mirroring me. It might be the same for you either way. You’re building them up in your head. You’re in love with a ghost and not this person but because you can’t see reality clearly now you wont let them go and compare everyone after to that glorified fake image of them . If you’re able to remeet your old partner. Don’t move on to them. See the real them. If they were so perfect they wouldn’t have left you in this pain.
