A colloquial term for an arthropod often small in size. Although it is a commonly used name for lobsters, crabs, spiders, mites, insects, centipedes, and millipedes. But there is one family of true insects, Hemiptera, which consist of cicadas, aphids, planthoppers, leafhoppers, bed bugs, and shield bugs.

Fucken hell, that bug is massive.
