This sound, which is a vowel, is considered by many non-Russians to be the most difficult to pronounce. About the best way to describe it is to ask you, "what is the most drunken, lazy, and gritty sound you can vocalize in your mouth? A sound so sloshy that you can only properly pronounce it after having having had copious amounts of the finest vodka, distilled from the brownest grain from the grittiest, most Shostakovich-ish steppes of Mother Russia.
