Get the Skenggeng mug.Skendo, also known as “S'kendo", “Skatendo", and “Sk8-endo":
A new extreme sport invented in Taiwan which combines the Japanese sport and martial art of Kendo with skateboarding.
Typically, two kendo opponents attack each other in traditional kendo uniforms &/or armor with traditional kendo shinai, 竹刀, (~ a Japanese sword typically made of bamboo used for practice and competition in kendo), while riding skateboards. Skendo rules allow for wearing socks and skateboard sneakers.
The rules for winning and losing, for the most part, follow traditional Japanese kendo, with the major exception being that if an opponent knocks his or her opponent off their skateboard, or if one's opponent falls off his or her skateboard, regardless of reason, it is deemed an automatic loss, and the opponent still on his or her skateboard is automatically declared the winner.

A: How did you twist your ankle?
B: I was practicing 'skendo' and my opponent knocked me clean off my skateboard with a blow to the knee with his shinai (竹刀) .
A: What's a shinai?
B: It's a bamboo practice-sword traditionally used in kendo, and that we also use in skendo.
A: Dude! Are you telling me you attack each other with bamboo swords while skateboarding?!?! DUDE! SKENDO sounds gnarly!! Sign me up! I gotta try skendo! Forget 'game of skate!'
