heel meal

When you go to make a PB&J sandwich, but there is only the end pieces of the bread left. Everyone hates the heel meal, so much so that one would rather not have a sandwich at all than eat it.

Son: "Dad, we need food, there's nothing to eat!"
Dad: "Isn't there bread by the toaster, just go make a sandwich."
Son: "There's two pieces left and I'm not making a heel meal!"

Adjective that describes someone or something eroded, impoverished or poor.

It comes from old shoes having worn down heels, and people having to wear them due to lack of money for new ones.

Shoes that are typically high heels, exorbitantly expensive, and from couture designer brands that necessitate the wearer to be driven around town less they get them dirty or have to walk very far.

Fashion magazine editors are often seen wearing their limo heels at fashion shows.
