For example: foxtrot is a type of trotting that barely resembles a traditional trot, and doesn't move you to your destination with any ease or swiftness; foxnews is a whimsical, falsified source of propaganda disguised as news to frighten old white people.

v. As in 'to fox the system'. One foxes by finding a loophole in a system of a large company in order to gain something without paying or at a reduced cost.
Foxing the system can also be used to avoid an unwanted situation in the real world.

Maz: So, did you get that new ringtone for your phone?
Flo: Yeah, I foxed the system and managed to get it for free!

A once magnificent television network launched on April 5th 1987 with "Married...With Children"(A personal fav.) and "The Tracey Ullman Show" (the original home of The Simpsons). As the 1990's hit, FOX would become the breeding ground for some of the best programming in the past decade (not to mention its outlandish specials) and the dump-tank for some of the BEST media promotion stunts i have ever heard of (ot: If there was a FOX Spring Break Wet T-Shirt Monster Truck Supermodel Striptease Bash now, that would become the DEFINING moment of My Teen years!!!) Now it has deteriorated into an FCC ass kisser w/ very grotesque programming. (W/ the exception of The O.C. and The Simpsons!!!) We can only hope it returns to its defiant ways

The television equivalent of being "fucked" has happened to many shows under the fox television label, including but not limited to: Firefly, Futurama or any other show that had potential. Also a synonym for bureaucratic failure in the sphere of television.
