You can't just lose weight and get fitter by walking about and playing Pokémon GO alone. You need to limit your calorie intake and consume calories from healthy sources of protein, carbs and healthy fats rather than eating like a stray dog by guzzling shit tons of empty calories after your walk.

However, because of their very small brains, they just roam in the wild minding their own business. Until a trainer uses their balls to catch the Pokemon officially making it their slave. Once a trainer catches enough slaves, they will force them to fight each other, usually causing the pokemon to be severely injured.
