Anyone who lives and breathes the genre of metal. Metalheads also hate the mainstream shit and get pissed off when someone says their tatse of music comes from the radio and MTV. Open minded metalheads love everything from the legendary Black Sabbath to the wave of nu metal that errupted in the 90s. And don't stereotype bout a metalhead's appearance either; we arn't all long haired people that get drunk on a regular basis. And we aren't all goths either. The whole point of being a metalhead is to let the music become part of your soul and to realise that nothing else in the world matters. Proper metalheads should be open minded about every last bit of metal and at least give it a try.
Awesome bands: Iced Earth, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Slayer, Coal Chamber, Disturbed, System Of A Down and Static- X.
Oh and Korn isn't a bad band, but they're more rock than metal. This is why many metalheads don't like them probably.

Get the metalheadmug. Explicitly, a metalhead likes metal music. A metalhead will travel if they have to, to see their heroes preform. The roadtrip is not a defining feature, but does demonstrate the level of commitment a metalhead has and is an essential element to almost any movie about metalheads. Metalheads recognize that jazz flute is not a an element of metal music and therefore does not recognize Jethro Tull as a metal band. Metalheads recognize that clothes are just clothes, but will beat down the kid in the pit who is wearing a Jethro Tull or Justin Beiber tee. All metalheads hate Justin Beiber especially and recognize him as everything that is wrong in the world. Metalheads have made a life long commitment to the genre and once they give up metal (very few do) completely, only then are they no longer metalheads. The metalhead lifestyle does require concert attendance or else you are either a closet metalhead or a lapsed metalhead. Concerts are like the metalhead church. Concerts are defined as at least a band playing metal music and any number of people listening. Finally, a metalhead recognizes the pirchfork/devilhorn hand gesture as the official metalhead blessing and knows that the forks are the creation of the metal pioneer, Ronnie James Dio, rest his soul.
That metalhead dude never misses a Slayer show if its within 100 miles of him. He will take time off of work and make personal sacrifices to make it there.

Get the metalheadmug. Metalheads are mostly arrogant, difficult to get along with, social rejects. In their eyes, any music that isn't metal is shit. They reject any kind of music if it's popular, whether it sounds good or not. They try to belittle anybody that: Likes any type of music other than metal, takes pride in their appearance or is popular. Of course this can't be said for all metalheads, but every single one I've ever met is exactly like this.
