Edith Derangement Syndrome or (EDS) is an unhealthy association or symbiotic enabling relationship with the character Edith from Downton Abbey. EDS results in people dismissing Edith's clear character faults and borderline antisocial personality disorder (ASPD) because they empathize with the character to a harmful level. It is an extreme and often imagined form of middle-child syndrome.
