Stupid fuckers that cut themselves and listen to shit music. Usually they cut themselves because they have "problems", like "my boy/girlfriend broke up with me", or "i cant go to the *generic emo-band* concert because i need to go to my grandmothers funeral!" and shit like that. EMO CUTTERS DONT HAVE ANY REAL PROBLEMS!! People with real problems dont resort to cutting, they know how do deal with it, or at least know to get help. Emo kids just mope and whine all day and have to be bisexual and wear girl pants because i guess having balls is too much extra weight for them to carry along with the rest of their crappy lives.

emo kid: "Hey i have an idea, how about since i cant express my "pain" by going to a therapist, ill just take this rusty knife and cut myself to help me forget about my fake sadness. Im sure that id rather die of blood loss than face my "problems" and end up living a happy life."

Emo

A term used when describing someone who listens to the genre of music and/or genres such as rock and metal, wears mostly black and other dark colors, has hair that can easily be mistaken as "Bieber hair," is assumed to cut themselves, want to kill themselves, and/or is depressed (which they probably are but thats nothing to make fun of). They're horribly mistreated and judged just because of what they wear, the kind of music they listen to, and the way the portray themselves to be.

" Hey John, did you see the new kid at school today? He's kinda weird, huh?"
"Yeah, he's such an emo fag."

Emo

A style of music relating to mostly underground bands, or music not popular to the self proclaimed 'in crowd'. Common listeners follow trends set by the lead singers of these bands, including skinny jeans, horn-rimmed glasses and band t-shirts. Incredibly false accusations of the term 'emo' include the opinions that people who listen to this style of music have mental disorders such as depression or bipolar depression, and that most all of them SI, or self injure, meaning they cut themselves.

Bands who produce 'emo' music include Fall Out Boy, Flyleaf, Suicide Silence, Bring Me The Horizon and several other bands listed under the categories of 'screamo' or 'punk'. People often think the teens who listen to this music mimick the lyrics to the songs, which created the steryotyp that anyone wearing skinny jeans, horn rimmed glasses, black skin tight tops or have the 'emo hairstyle' (layered and teased, mulitcolored) go along are instantly emo.

basically means you listen to different punk bands, and (or) screamo, if thats what you like. It has nothing to do with cutting, but although some emo's include cutting because cutting is an emotional disorder where you feel relief in hurting yourself due to internal feelings, but caused externally. Most emos are very shy at first, but optimistic when you begin to get to know them, they are often judged because of what they wear. And to be honest, being emo is just a style. Just like preppy is a style, and grunge is a style.

Alot of people tend to think lead singer of the band BLACK VEIL BRIDES andy biersack is emo, but he isn't...he just dresses that way. He's also reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy sexy.

emo

A person who has a lot of emotion and likely cries over issues that most people would shrug off. A person who can also be angry at many aspects of their life. Being a true emo person has absolutely NOTHING to do with clothing style, hair style, the people they associate with, or how they talk. You are not an 'emo' or acting 'emo' if you think that being an 'emo' means wearing black, having some multi-coloured or crazy hairstyle, cutting, talking about death, or wearing tight clothes ECT. In other words, a true emo could be viewed as a person who is overly sensitive on the sadness/happiness spectrum.

"look at that dude crying over the movie 'Titanic'. He is a real emo."
